Model digitals, also called polaroids, are simple photographs that show your current face, proportions and appearance. They give an agency a clear starting point for a submission or an update to your representation.
You do not need to know how to model or pose. I direct you throughout, using natural light and shooting directly to my laptop so we can see together what is working and adjust as we go.
The session.
- Send an enquiry. Tell me what you are hoping to create together, where you plan to apply and your timing. You do not need to have an agency already.
- I help you prepare. I consult with you on wardrobe before the shoot, so you know what to bring.
- I direct you on set. Allow approximately 25 minutes of set time. I shoot with natural light to my laptop, where we can review the photographs together and see what is working.
- I select the good photographs. After the session, I go through the pictures again, remove the unsuccessful frames and export the good ones for you.
Agencies ask for different views and selections. I shoot a range to cover common submission needs, so you can tailor your selection to each agency you apply to. If you have a specific request or deadline, include it in your enquiry. Your photographs are delivered within 1 business day of the shoot.

Digitals sessions are currently available in Brisbane. I am based in Teneriffe and photograph unsigned and represented models. Send your preferred dates and I will confirm the location and availability.

Before you book.
Do I need a photographer for agency digitals?
No. Clear photographs taken at home can be enough for a first application. Follow each agency’s current submission instructions. If you would like help with light, direction and choosing a set, I can guide you through it.
How much do model digitals cost?
A standalone session is $350 AUD for unsigned models, including approximately 25 minutes of set time, direction throughout and wardrobe consultation before the shoot. Digitals are $120 as a portfolio-shoot add-on. Represented models can access private agency rates.
What do I receive after my session?
I deliver all the good photographs from your session via a Dropbox link, exported at a resolution suitable for email or agency uploads. Alongside the full set, I include my top 6–12 photographs that I feel represent you best, so you have a starting selection for your submissions.
Turnaround is 1 business day from the shoot.
What should I wear?
I consult with you on wardrobe before the shoot, so you can arrive with suitable, well-fitting basics. A plain T-shirt or singlet with jeans or trousers in black, white or neutral colours works well. A skirt is another option for women. I prefer to shoot barefoot to show your natural stance and proportions. Swimwear is not required for an initial-submission session with me, though an agency may request it once you are signed. A plain one-piece or bikini, or a jeans-only, shirt-off variation for men, is optional and discussed beforehand. How should I prepare my hair and makeup?
Think “done but undone”: hair that looks good on an ordinary day, without looking freshly styled at a salon. Makeup should be natural or nothing at all. Moisturise, brush your eyebrows, and keep any extras simple: lip gloss and a little mascara. You do not need a makeup artist for this session. Agencies and clients want to see your skin and face as a blank canvas.
Do I need a portfolio or modelling experience?
No. You do not need to know how to model or pose. I direct you throughout, and we review the photographs together on my laptop. Your willingness to prepare, communicate and take direction matters. A digitals session is also suitable if you already have representation and need current images.
Are digitals the same as a portfolio shoot?
No. Digitals use deliberately flat, even lighting to show you clearly. Think really good passport photos: straightforward, with little drama. In a portfolio shoot, I can push the lighting to transform how you photograph, using shadow and contrast to bring out a jawline, cheekbones or muscle definition. Can a parent enquire for an under-18 model?
Yes. Include a parent or guardian contact in the enquiry so they can be involved in communication and booking.
