TL;DR

  • 80s Beauty on Film is built around a 35mm analogue workflow using Kodak Ektachrome E100, cross-processed for its distinctive colour and contrast response.
  • The series was shot on a Nikon F100 with a Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 at f/4 to recreate an 80s-inspired editorial beauty look.
  • Includes 5-image gallery.

I read a lot of European magazines from the 70s and 80s and truly admire the look and feel of the pictures. I set about trying to understand how master photographers like Hans Feurer and Harry Peccinotti might have worked with film and processing. These images were shot on 35mm Kodak Ektachrome E100 (cross processed) using a Nikon F100 with a Nikon 70-200 2.8 at f4.
